So So Busy!!

Well it has been a crazy few months. For those of you who don't know, I took a promotion December 1st, 2011 and it has been one crazy ride. I absolutely love my new position and love the people I work around. My basic day boils down to getting up in the morning, kids go to school, Trevor and I go to work, we then come home, Trevor or I cook dinner, I work on Association items, we then go to Farrell's to work out and then we come home to rest for maybe an hour before heading to bed. We literally have no free time except on Saturday and Sunday. And even on these 2 days I find myself working whether it is for my FT position or whether it is my PT position with the Association.

Well in January I decided that I was going to apply for the Lyceum Leadership Scholarship that is offered through the National Apartment Association. This year they were only picking 2 people out of the entire United States. I told myself from the beginning that if I didn't get this I would not be disappointed with myself because I had already accomplished so much recently in my career. Well, I GOT IT!! I feel so lucky to have received this scholarship. I am looking forward to starting this journey on March 10, 2012 at the Capitol Conference in Washington, D.C. which is held yearly with the National Apartment Association.

More good news, Lexi was put into advanced math this past week so she is now in 7th grade math. Bryce got registered for high school classes this past month as well. He is finally really focusing on school. He is focusing his career on being a Lawyer or an Engineer.  So since he is really unsure which path he is taking and obviously both of those choices are very far apart, he has enrolled in engineering classes his 9th grade year. He is also going to Washington, D.C. in June this year for a class trip. (Mom is very nervous about this)I am so very proud of my children and what they are accomplishing. With all the craziness that happens with our families they still seem to get past whatever is thrown their way. I love both of my kids more than they will ever know.
